Today hasn’t been the best of days today. What has topped things off is that I am completely exhausted, and I now have a sore throat. Go figure!
The last time this happened was in January in the second week of my student teaching. Let me remind you that this is the second week of school. I hope I’m not doomed!
There are three things I hate more than anything when it comes to sickness:
- Stomach virus
- Strep throat
- Sinus infection
I think all of my sicknesses come at the worst time, too. The week of my wedding {Tuesday to be specific}- Sinus infection. Second week of student teaching- strep throat.
It’s not looking good.
On another note, I am loving to teach in the classroom. As a new teacher, I am facing some rather large challenges. Tonight though, I read the second chapter to Plan B. I wish I had it in my hand to quote it for you. It basically said that when challenges are there, to not lose your faith in God and give up.
In a C.S. Lewis book, The Screwtape Letters, was the example given. If you have the book, go back and read that chapter or section more specifically.
The good news is that my SIL and BIL are coming into town this weekend. I can’t wait to see them. We haven’t seen them since the weekend of the 4th of July, and it will be great to see them. Let’s just hope I’m not sick when they get here.
