Feeling Better!

First of all, I would like to update everyone on my dad. He is still in Baptist Hospital, but he will hopefully be returning home sometime tomorrow. Please pray for him to have a good recovery process. He has appreciated everyone's phone calls and visits by the hospital. As the days have passed, the doctors have conducted more tests and have discovered more about his condition. According to the doctors, they fixed what had to be fixed immediately when he arrived on Tuesday afternoon. However, he still has a good bit of plaque build up in his artery. This is going to require him to take Plavix, two baby aspirin, and possibly some other medication as well for quite some time.

Ashley and I drove down to see him yesterday afternoon, and he looked great. He was mostly just tired and sleepy. Who isn't tired in the hospital though? It's so hard to get rest! We will not be driving down there this afternoon since he will be coming home tomorrow morning if all goes well. Thank you again to everyone who has prayed for him and checked on him! It really means a great deal to us to know we have such great friends and family to support us in times of need.

On a lighter note....

I wanted to share this picture (above) with you. I was leaving W.S. Neal Elementary, where I do my practicum (student teaching) hours. Some kids participated in a pumpkin carving contest, and I couldn't resist taking pictures of it. I figured I would share it with you guys. I made many more pictures, but for some reason they were all blurry except for this one...ugh!

Upcoming posts...Dot's birthday celebration, pumpkin carving, and cookie making!

***Update: My dad is home from the hospital! They let him come home early! I can't wait to see him!
